Clark County Department of Aviation

Tyler McHenry joined the Clark County Department of Aviation in January 2018 and serves as Managing Director of Aviation, Finance. He oversees financial, accounting and budget operations for the organization, which includes Harry Reid International Airport, one of the top 10 busiest airports in North America.

McHenry and his team seek solutions to improve internal and stakeholder processes, systems, and efficiency while ensuring Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) compliance and meeting financial reporting standards.

Prior to joining the Department of Aviation, McHenry spent more than 10 years in the public accounting sector as a Senior Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP within their Las Vegas, Nevada, and Campinas, Brazil, offices. Serving a mix of large and medium global and regional clients, both in the private and governmental sectors, McHenry developed extensive SEC reporting and US GAAP technical expertise and was exposed to various business models and internal control environments. After leaving PwC, he also spent two years as the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting for Scientific Games Corporation which further enhanced his expertise and growth in the areas of revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, stock-based compensation, lease accounting and financial reporting.

McHenry holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from Utah State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Nevada.
